Our Story
The story of WeddingDJ.si began in the early 1990s with the career of its founder, known professionally as Tey DJ. His journey started at Super Li, one of Slovenia’s most influential clubs at the time, and quickly expanded to major venues across Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.
By the late 1990s, he became the creator and host of the successful radio show Warm Up Base, which gained national recognition and opened doors to collaborations with numerous radio stations. During this period, he performed alongside internationally renowned artists such as Gigi D’Agostino, Prezioso and Molella, and later co-hosted daily prime-time DJ shows on Radio Salomon.
As his reputation grew, so did his involvement in music production, remixing for leading Slovenian pop artists and achieving top positions on national charts.
From clubs to weddings — the story behind WeddingDJ
WeddingDJ began as a collective of passionate DJs deeply rooted in club culture, radio broadcasting and event production. Over time, the team expanded, bringing together experienced professionals with strong international backgrounds in music curation and live performance.
Several members hosted radio shows and collaborated with well-known Italian radio stations such as RIN – Radio Italia Network and Radio Punto Zero Tre Venezie (FM 101.5, Trieste), working alongside respected Italian DJ Stefano Munari. These experiences shaped the refined musical identity that today defines our work as a premium Wedding DJ in Slovenia.
In 2006, WeddingDJ.si evolved into a dedicated destination wedding DJ service in Slovenia, focusing on international couples seeking exceptional music, atmosphere and professionalism for their wedding day. This marked a natural transition from clubs to celebrations — more emotional, more personal, and more meaningful.
